Spring is coming
I figured it’s time to update my blog again before the camping season starts.
Winter has been lazy as expected. I spend my time reading, watching movies, playing video games getting my FAC licence and occasionally driving out and doing short hiking tours in the cold.
One interesting landmark that people expect to disappear in the next couple of years due to global warming is the Ice cave near Haines Junction.
Then there is also plenty of frozen lakes to walk on. One of them is Kathleen Lake.
But aside from nature I also had the chance and catch up/refresh on literature. I thought I will share the 11 books/stories I read over the winter and but them in a priority order if you wanted to follow along:
11 The Oil Prince - Karl May
10 Tales of Space and Time - H.G. Wells
09 The Complete Sherlock Holmes - Arthur Conan Doyle
08 Utopia - Thomas Morus
07 The House of Pride - Jack London
06 Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl - Harriet Ann Jacobs
05 Faust: A Tragedy - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
04 The Fall of Gondolin - J.R.R. Tolkien
03 The Count of Monte Cristo - Alexandre Dumas
02 Moby-Dick - Herman Melville
01 Notes from the Underground - Fyodor Dostoevsky
I will be back after the first few camping trips :)
